LOCAL BULLETIN - Full scholarship applications for union members and their families pursuing degrees at Empire State College of the State University of New York are now being accepted for the 2016-2017 academic year. Students who receive the scholarship will study online through Empire State College’s Center for Distance Learning.

LOCAL BULLETIN - The list of on-the-job hazards for reporters got a little longer last week. Besides death, kidnapping, arrest, lawsuits and subpoenas to worry about, journalists now risk having Donald Trump make fun of their physical disabilities.  Even more disturbing is Trump's claim that he didn't do what we saw him do. Journalists need to hold Trump and others accountable to the truth.

Al Jazeera America digital journalists on Oct. 6, after a tally by the National Labor Relations Board's Manhattan office showed that an overwhelming majority of them voted for representation by The NewsGuild of New York.
