Insider Union, The NewsGuild of New York statement on Axel Springer call for review of Business Insider stories

NEW YORK – We are disappointed to see Axel Springer publicly call the integrity of its journalists into question in response to attacks on our members’ coverage of Neri Oxman and Bill Ackman. We stand behind our members’ work, which serves as the foundation for Business Insider’s success and reputation.  

Our collective bargaining agreement with Business Insider protects editorial integrity and independence. We are watching closely to ensure that the journalistic principles and workplace protections we fought for in our contract are not compromised by Axel Springer or anyone else.
