From The New York Times Guild | Our Statement on Lauren Wolfe
The Times Guild is troubled by the decision of New York Times management to terminate the employment of Lauren Wolfe, which was done outside of the just cause protections of our contract due to her classification as a casual employee. We are in contact with Lauren and we respect her right to privacy, as we do with all Guild members, and will not make public our conversations. As a union of media workers we support Lauren and will continue to advocate for due process in our newsroom.
