Join Labor Notes for a new workshop to identify and organize on the climate change problems your coworkers already care about.
It's 110 degrees out, but the boss wants business as usual. Meanwhile, management plans to cash in on "greener" technology to get around our unions. How can we bring our coworkers together to keep us safe—and build our power—through all the climate mayhem?
In this workshop, we’ll hear from union members who organized shop floor actions on climate safety and pushing green transitions, from the Electrical Workers (IBEW), locomotive assemblers (UE), and more. Then, we'll break out to discuss how our coworkers already bring up climate issues. Finally, we'll develop ideas for collective fights on the job to beat the heat – and steer the transition at work.
The workshop is intended for rank-and-file workplace activists from all kinds of jobs. Register here for free.
